Anderson
Founder

Matt has been a purpose-driven entrepreneur for over 20 years — founding a number of impact startups, working as an innovation consultant, catalysing many cross-sector collaborative initiatives, and leading a number of purpose-driven businesses. Matt has consulted to over 100 organisations across Australia in the health, technology and wellbeing space. This includes a variety of technology companies, accelerator and incubator programs, large corporates & NFPs, government partners and investors. Helping to design collaboration opportunities for blended commercial, environmental & social value creation. Matt has recently served as the Social Entrepreneur in Residence for the global design agency Business Models Inc, as well as the Managing Director of the innovation peak body Startup Adelaide.

Paul
Daly
Founder

Paul played a key role in the emergence of both the startup ecosystem and mobile internet industry in South Australia. In 2001, he established m.Net Corporation Limited - a company that built the first 3G network in the Southern hemisphere and sold to IPG Mediabrands in 2013. Paul developed and launched the Adelaide Smart City Studio, and helped to shape the Adelaide smart city agenda. He continues to consult on smart city strategies for national clients and led Enzen Australia’s smart city practice in Australia. He mapped the Adelaide entrepreneurship ecosystem in late 2012 and established the Adelaide Entrepreneurship Forum. He was a co-founder of Adelaide Entrepreneurs Week and has provided consulting services in the areas of innovation and commercialisation working extensively with the creative and ICT industries.

Founder

Mike is an excellent communicator, highly organised and work hands-on with clients to help generate wealth and streamline processes, saving clients time and money. He is involved in a Boutique Derivative Fund which is focused on achieving high rates of return that would not normally be available to unsophisticated investors. He enjoys providing opportunities and increasing personal wealth for clients that would not normally be able to deal in this space.

Having gained deep insight into the business realm through his varied work history, Danny specialises in corporate communication and it’s importance during digital transformation as well as during the startup journey. He helps company’s leverage their digital and traditional media assets to ensure optimal cuthrough. With hard earned knowledge managing a number of companies and startups, Danny supports startups, corporates and government agencies alike to navigate the many roads to success. Danny’s extraordinarily diverse resume includes Director of leading creative and tech agency Svelte Australia, Director of Strategy at mental health startup Frank, Strategist at Fin-tech startup Gathr, Creative Director for a boutique design agency and Strategic and Creative Director during the redesigning of the National Newspaper of Samoa.

Founder

Joseph is passionate about technology and how it interacts with humans and vise-versa. His background in user-centered design and human-factors as a Product Designer combined with a cross-over to digital in 2001 put him on the front line when technology became user focused and User Experience (UX) came into being. After creating pioneering digital experiences in Australia and London, he returned o Adelaide to co-found Svelte Australia which thrives to this day where, as Experience Director, he explores the edge of digital interaction in areas such as AI, software, mobile and the web. He has a burning drive to further the purpose economy, harnessing the powers of tech and business to add value to the world. Joseph fosters tech start-ups to realise their vision through proven design methodologies and the leading edge of technology.

Allyson developed and leads the social innovation programs at MaRS. This includes the national initiative; Social Innovation Generation (SiG), the social finance programs of the Centre for Impact Investing, the MaRS Solutions Lab (a lab designed to tackle complex challenges), and Studio Y, an initiative designed to support youth in thriving in the new economy. Allyson has also been instrumental in growing Canada’s social innovation ecosystem; conducting public education; and influencing public policy and is currently leading an initiative to develop a pro bono marketplace for Canada.

Verb produces global social impact competitions like the MetLife Inclusion Plus challenge, and an online leadership training platform that turns corporate employees into purpose-driven leaders. Suzi has been in the start-up and entrepreneurship space for over 15 years, has co-founded several Austin non-profits focused on social innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2014 she was awarded the Ernst & Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Charles is best known for popularising the Creative City concept. His book The Creative City: A Toolkit for Urban Innovators became a movement to rethink the planning, development and management of cities. He is credited for his attempt to rethink city making through his work on inter-cultural cities, the psychology of cities, creative bureaucracies and the measurement of creativity in cities – the latter developed with Bilbao and now assessed through in-depth studies of 25 cities.

Dr Green became the voice of sustainability and corporate social responsibility in the business of big money lending while at J.P. Morgan in London. She become a research fellow at Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute (CUSP), completed a Masters degree and two postgraduate diplomas at Cambridge, was Deputy Lord Mayor of Perth, set-up the first fossil fuel free super fund and has sat on numerous boards championing sustainable business such as the Water Corporation, Carbon Tracker and Climate-KIC Australia. In 2016 Jemma founded blockchain technology company Powerledger and in 2018 received the EY Fintech Entrepreneur of the Year award.

He has lived and worked in Silicon Valley (1968 — 1993) as a qualified accountant.
